We undertake a wide range of project work to help achieve our vision that all children in Scotland have an equal chance to flourish.
This includes:

Participation through the Pandemic (2021-2022)
The project explored how coronavirus changed the ways in which children and young people can get involved in projects or access services.
International School Meals Day (2013-2024)
International School Meals Day (ISMD) first came about as a result of an ongoing knowledge exchange connection on school meals between USA and Scotland, which began in 2009.
Evaluation of Community Mental Health Services (2022)
In partnership with the Scottish Youth Parliament, Children in Scotland supported a group of MSYPs to work as part of a peer investigation team to evaluate mental health and wellbeing community support for 5-24 year-olds, parents and carers.
Time to Talk Next Steps Scotland (2022-2023)
Time to Talk Next Steps Scotland was a 12-month pilot programme trialling online support for young people aged 16-25 with additional needs in Scotland: hearing their voice, building confidence and supporting transitions.
Street League Youth Advisory Group
A project supporting Street League to set up a young people’s advisory group. Street League is a charity based on using sport and education to help overcome barriers facing young people gaining employment.
Scotland’s Children’s Strategic Recovery Framework (2021)
This project informed how the Scottish Government's wider COVID-19 Strategic Framework could best support children, young people and families to navigate and recover from the pandemic.
Young people and their data (2021-2022)
Alongside the Scottish Centre of Administrative Data Research (SCADR) to ask children and young people how their data should be gathered, stored and communicated with them.

Street Sense: Road Safety Resource (2021)
Children in Scotland worked with Transport Scotland and The Gate, along with pupils and staff from Dean Park Primary School to review a new road safety resource created by Transport Scotland.
Children’s wellbeing and the Scottish budget (2020-2021)
In partnership with Dr Katherine Trebeck, the Carnegie Trust UK, and early years funder Cattanach, we raised awareness of what a robust child wellbeing approach to the Scottish budget would involve.
