Key Learning

  • Understand more about the characteristics of Autism & ADHD, which both sit under the umbrella of neurodivergence
  • Recognise where the characteristics and experiences of Autism and ADHD overlap, intersect and clash
  • Factors that can make AuDHD seem more or less “obvious” to professionals
  • Signposting to key support organisations and relevant resources

The recognition that individuals could have both Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), a dual diagnosis sometimes informally referred to as AuDHD became more widely accepted in 2013. Before this, the diagnostic criteria indicated that an individual could not be diagnosed with both. Given what we now know, how can we best understand these young people and what support they need? Join us to uncover more about this evolving area of research.

By the end of the webinar, attendees should feel more equipped with the knowledge to support individuals with ASD & ADHD and to contribute positively to their development and wellbeing.
