Our services

We want to improve the lives of all children in Scotland.

In order to achieve this we offer special services that provide practical support, advice and representation for children, young people, parents and families throughout Scotland.

Services

Enquire is the national advice service for additional support for learning. It provides advice, information and resources for parents, carers and professionals through the extensive website and staffed helpline. They also run a range of free webinars throughout the year and host a podcast series focused on key themes and issues related to additional support needs and school. Enquire also works with professionals and local authorities to improve understanding, awareness and delivery of support for learning.

Resolve is the largest independent mediation provider to the education community in Scotland. It has a strong reputation built on many years of experience and success helping resolve conflict in education. Its core service has an emphasis on building trust and understanding to promote and support effective relationships and good communication.

Reach can help you understand children’s rights to be supported and involved in decisions so they have an equal chance to flourish in their education.

Hear from school pupils across Scotland sharing what has helped them and get accessible, bitesize advice on additional support for learning.

Reach is part of Enquire – the Scottish Advice Service for Additional Support for Learning – and is managed by Children in Scotland.

My Rights, My Say is a support service which provides advice and information, advocacy support (for children to prepare for and understand the consequences of their own and their parents use of rights), legal representation for Tribunal references and a service which independently seeks children’s views to inform decision-making.

Managed funds

We have substantial experience of managing funds focused on strengthening access to childcare, ensuring early learning settings are more inclusive, and supporting creative opportunities for young people with additional needs.

We managed the Early Learning and Childcare Inclusion Fund (2018-22), the Access to Childcare Fund (2020-22) and the Access All Arts Fund (2021-25).
