Early years practitioners and primary school teachers have been sharing concerns around children’s delayed communications skills and immature social and emotional development since the pandemic and consequent isolation during lockdown restrictions. Practitioners appear to have lost confidence in their skills to recognise whether children’s development is delayed or needs further assessment. This concern is shared worldwide and now a popular research topic.

This webinar will explore current research findings and give delegates the opportunity to reframe their understanding of child development by looking at the impact of early experiences on development processes. Using presentation, video and discussion delegates will have the opportunity to apply the understanding to children they currently work with.
