'Fabulous Finds' South Queensferry Girlguides and Young Archaeologists Club
2 Oct 2018
September to November 2018
‘heritage is all around us even in the smallest of areas’
‘heritage is cool’
'Fabulous Finds' is what the South Queensferry Girl Guides have called their part in our heritage project. The Guides are researching Guiding and local history and with support from our partners Dunfermline Young Archaelogists Club, are developing their archaeological knowledge and skills. This project is also supporting the Guides to achieve their Traditions and Go For It! - Blast From The Past badges.
The Guides enjoyed a lot of different activities, including beachcombing and a VIP Evening. They learned a lot of things through the project including discovering that South Queensferry Guides are 100 years old in 2019.
The Guides also had a central role in co-designing our ‘Hosting Heritage At The Hub’ event, co-hosting the day and exhibiting a ‘fabulous’ stall to share their activities and learning.
