Children in Scotland Magazine
Telling the story of the children's sector in Scotland
Children in Scotland Magazine, offering comment, insight and analysis on key developments across the children’s sector, was a Children in Scotland membership benefit since its inception in 2001.
Over two decades, 201 issues and almost 4,000 articles, it charted advances in practice, policy and legislation across the children’s sector.
The magazine was also a finalist in the 2018 PPA Scottish Magazine Awards (Member Magazine of the Year), recognising the quality of the publication and the value it brought to professionals working with and for children and families.
In March 2020, in response to the global pandemic, we moved the publication of the magazine online and opened up access to read, download and share our resource for free. Published on our Page Suite digital platform, these interactive magazines remain available to view (see links to previous issues on this page).
All magazine editions and articles published prior to April 2020 remain available to our membership. Copies can be requested by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
Into the future
From August 2021, magazine content moved online, offering rolling news and responsive comment and contributions from our partners and project leads.
This evolution of the magazine builds on the title's history and reputation, and marks a step forward in our offer of high quality, topical and accessible content for the children’s sector.
From late 2021, members will also have access to a new member publication, Insight. Published bi-annually this will provide a space for reflection, discussion and analysis on key topics and themes across the children's sector.
