Hyndland After School Club : General Manager

Hyndland After School Club, affectionately known as “The Afty”, is an out of school childcare service based in the west end of Glasgow. The Afty is delighted to be recruiting for the post of General Manager. Ideally, we are looking for an individual with demonstrable skills and experience, that involves both the development and delivery of innovative and exciting play experiences for children and the effective management and leadership of a knowledgeable and experienced team. The General Manager role is diverse and varied and requires excellent administrative, financial and management skills. Professional standards are upheld and maintained in accordance with the requirements of The Board and external agencies such as The Care Inspectorate, The Scottish Social Services Council, Glasgow City Council, our Parent Council and parents of children/prospective children.
Clan Childlaw: Office Manager
- Edinburgh or Glasgow (Hybrid Available)
- Part-Time/Full-Time, 18-month Fixed Term Contract
- £31,450
The Office Manager will will keep the offices and virtual workplaces running happily and efficiently by providing employees with tools, resources, policies, and initiatives that enable good work. They will be responsible for the implement and oversight of policies and procedures that nurture efficient working environments where the team thrive. This role would be perfect for someone who likes to see projects through to the end and finished to the hishest possible standard.
Clan Childlaw: Impact and Evidence Lead
- Edinburgh or Glasgow (Hybrid Available)
- Part-Time, 18-month Fixed term contract
- £28,000 Pro rata
The Impact and Evidence Lead is a key member of the team who enables Clan Childlaw to demonstrate their impact and create a data-driven culture across all delivery and reporting in the organisation.
Clan Childlaw: Fundraising Manager
- Edinburgh or Glasgow (Hybrid Available)
- Full-Time, 2-year Fixed Term Contract
- £34,000
The Fundraising Manager needs to be someone who has excellent knowledge of this area of fundraising and demonstrable experience in developing high quality applications, reports, budgets and supporting documents for a wide range of audiences including existing and new grant funders.
Children 1st: Safeguarder

- No fixed salary but fees can be claimed
Safeguarders are appointed by Ministers and have a unique and important role in children’s hearings and related court proceedings, supporting the process to focus on the child’s best interests. When a child or young person is involved in a children’s hearing or court case, it can feel really scary and difficult and life-changing decisions will often need to be made about their future.
Edinburgh Young Carers: Chair of Board of Trustees
- Edinburgh
- Most Board and Committee meetings are held on a Monday evening in Edinburgh. Members are asked to attend a number of meetings each year
- Unpaid
EYC is seeking to appoint a Chair of the Board of Trustees. It would be especially beneficial if the Chair had wide experience of the third sector and of health and social care. The Board of EYC operates at a strategic level and delegates responsibility for the day-to-day management and running of the organisation to staff, through the Chief Executive.
