Announcing a new corporate partnership with award-winning estate agent Yopa
26 Sep 2022
We are delighted to announce a new corporate partnership with award-winning Scottish estate agent Yopa to support our work and the activities of our children and young people’s advisory group, Changing our World.
The corporate partnership – which launches today with a supporting advertising campaign across Scottish newspaper titles and leading property search engines – also includes Yopa’s sponsorship of our annual conference in November.
Yopa’s presence as a speaker sponsor at the conference, a key event in the children’s sector calendar, will allow the UK’s No 2 hybrid agency to establish new and develop existing connections on the Scottish stage.
Yopa’s representatives will have opportunities across the two-day event to meet with panel members of Changing our World to further understand their work supporting and promoting the views of young people.
Verona Frankish, CEO of Yopa, says:
“We are thrilled to work in partnership with Children in Scotland. At Yopa we know the importance of family and providing for future generations, which is why we've placed caring for our environment and each other at the heart of our business. We have always encouraged a positive work-life balance, which includes work from home arrangements for our team and flexible diary arrangements for our franchise owners and agents. It gives so many of our people the opportunity to earn a successful living whilst also being there for their children and families when it counts.
"Community and sustainability are core to our purpose, which is why we’re keen to support Children in Scotland’s vision of giving all children in Scotland an equal chance to flourish. Our local Yopa agents are Scottish residents, many with their own children, and so this partnership is not only close to our business values but our franchise owners’ values too. “
Anthony Conroy, Yopa – Head of Scotland, adds:
“As part of the Yopa Scotland team I'm very proud to be able to support Children in Scotland and attend this year’s conference as a sponsor. Children in Scotland is an important charity doing much-needed work in equality and rights for young people, which feels particularly relevant to me as a father of two, and as part of a business which focuses on local communities and sustainable income for people with families.
"We’re excited to contribute to this incredible organisation’s conference, and particularly to attend as sponsors where we will introduce the keynote speaker, meet participants, and better understand the challenges facing children from all backgrounds. Our local agents, myself included, live and work in Scotland's local communities, and this new partnership feels like a fantastic way to make a positive difference for our young people. “
Judith Turbyne, Chief Executive of Children in Scotland, says:
“This is a really exciting new partnership for us, and we’re delighted that Yopa has chosen to support Children in Scotland as a whole and specifically our upcoming conference and our children and young people’s advisory group, Changing our World. We hope this is just the beginning of new and innovative ways we can work together to develop platforms for young people to share their views.”
The partnership will launch for an initial six-month period to support conference and the youth panel, and will reassess priorities for ongoing collaborative projects thereafter.
