Leave of absence for CEO and appointment of Joint Acting Chief Executives

11 September 2019

For family reasons Children in Scotland’s Chief Executive, Jackie Brock, will be taking a leave of absence from the role, from mid-September until the end of the year.

Simon Massey, Head of Engagement & Learning, and Amy Woodhouse, Head of Policy, Projects & Participation, have been appointed Joint Acting Chief Executives, and will be in post from Monday 16 September until Jackie returns.

Simon and Amy have substantial experience of working in the children’s sector and in key leadership roles at Children in Scotland over the past four years. Their appointment was approved by our Board and Leadership Team last month.

Children in Scotland will continue as normal while they are in post and we look forward to working with all our partners to progress our shared aim of improving the lives of children and young people.
