Claire joined Children in Scotland in August 2025 as a Children’s Views Project Officer to support education professionals to better engage with children with complex needs.

Abbey joined us in May 2024 as Assistant Policy, Projects and Participation Officer. Prior to this, she was a primary teacher with a particular interest in children’s rights

Julie joined Children in Scotland in May 2023, as Communications & Marketing Manager. Prior to this, Julie has held both digital and traditional comms roles across a wide range of sectors from forestry to animal welfare.

Lizz has worked in Children in Scotland’s Learning & Events team since September 2021. She joined as a Learning & Events Officer before starting her current role in January 2024.

Dr. Judith Turbyne became Chief Executive of Children in Scotland in August 2021. She has spent most of her professional life working in and with the charity sector. For much of that time she worked in international development, with charities challenging global poverty and inequality. She worked in Latin America and the Caribbean for many years, in local frontline organisations and with multinational funders, before moving to Dublin to work as the CEO of Progressio Ireland.

Sophie joined Children in Scotland in July 2023. She has ten years’ experience managing projects for a number of culture organisations and charities including VisitScotland, RSPB Scotland and the National Trust for Scotland.

Annie has worked with Enquire since 2017, stepping into the role of Service Manager in 2022. Annie’s role is to have oversight of the running of Enquire service and the advice and information we provide.

Jacqueline is part of Enquire’s communications team leading on all aspects of design with a particular focus on digital and print materials.

David joined Children in Scotland as Policy, Projects and Participation Officer in January 2024. Before joining Children in Scotland, he worked as a participation officer at the Scottish Youth Parliament and in other policy and project roles at the organisation.

Nimra has recently joined Children in Scotland (July 2025) as our Services Administrator, where she supports the smooth running of all our services to help deliver the best possible outcomes for children.
