Advice and Information Officer – Enquire

Lisa Maguire is Advice and Information Officer for the Enquire service which she joined in August 2022. In this role, Lisa offers advice and information on children and young people’s rights to additional support for learning.

Head of Development & Engagement

Simon Massey is Head of Development & Engagement at Children in Scotland and is part of the organisation’s Leadership Team. He manages a department comprising the Communications & Marketing team, Income Generation team, Learning & Events team, and the Membership Service. He also coordinates Children in Scotland’s child protection activity.

Outreach Officer – Enquire

Ellen Morton is Outreach Officer for the Enquire service. They joined as an Advice and Information Officer in January 2024 before moving to their current role in August 2025.

Advice and Information Officer – Enquire

Vitalina Onyshchenko is an Advice and Information Officer at Children in Scotland. In her role, she supports the delivery of advice and information services, helping families and professionals access clear, reliable guidance and direct to the support they need.

Senior Advice and Information Officer – Enquire

Mark Patterson is Senior Advice and Information Officer for the Enquire service, where he has worked since 2018. He offers advice on children and young people’s rights to additional support for learning.

Senior Mediation Officer – Resolve Mediation

Alison Payne is Senior Mediation Officer for the Resolve Mediation service. She supports the development, delivery and management of the service and is the primary liaison and contact person for all referrals to Resolve.

Participation & Policy Officer and Assistant Participation & Policy Officer, Supporting the Third Sector

Hannah Priest is Participation & Policy Officer at Children in Scotland and Assistant Participation & Policy Officer for Supporting the Third Sector (STTS).

Participation & Engagement Officer

Arran Purdie is Participation & Engagement Officer for Children in Scotland. She joined the organisation in April 2023, as a Learning & Events Officer, and in July 2025 moved to her current role within the Services team.

Policy, Projects and Participation Manager

Chris Ross is Policy, Projects and Participation Manager at Children in Scotland. His role focuses on managing and delivering a range of participation and engagement focused projects.

Dianne Sanderson

Senior Income Generation Officer

Dianne Sanderson is Senior Income Generation Officer at Children in Scotland. She joined the organisation in January 2026 and focuses on developing corporate partnerships and securing funding across a range of programmes and initiatives.

Learning & Events Officer

Monica Sellers (they/them) is Learning & Events Officer at Children in Scotland. They joined the organisation in August 2021 as the Learning & Events Coordinator and started their officer role in April 2024. They have worked in the events industry for two decades both within higher education and the third sector.
