This Member Forum will be led by Chris Ross and Parisa Shirazi and will explore the new Scottish Government’s proposed Third Sector Partnership work, considering this in the wider public service reform agenda. Discussions will focus on key aspects of reform including multi-year funding and third sector involvement in local planning and provision.

Background

The Member Forum provides a space for policy staff in member’s organisations to inform Children in Scotland’s national policy influencing and development work, across the range of issues affecting children, families and the children’s sector in Scotland.

Facilitators
Parisa Shirazi
Parisa is Senior Policy, Projects and Participation Officer at Children in Scotland. Her previous roles working in a busy child law centre, as well as in Holyrood and Westminster allow her to appreciate the importance of well-informed and beneficial policy in achieving positive change.
Chris Ross
Chris’s role focus on managing and delivering a range of participation and engagement focused projects including the Inclusion Ambassadors and the National Suicide Prevention Youth Advisory Group.
David Yule
David joined Children in Scotland as Policy, Projects and Participation Officer in January 2024. Before joining Children in Scotland, he worked as a participation officer at the Scottish Youth Parliament and in other policy and project roles at the organisation.
