The biannual publication for Children in Scotland Members
Children in Scotland Magazine (titled Insight until Autumn/Winter 2025) is our flagship membership publication, providing a space for inspiration, reflection, discussion and sharing of knowledge.
Through a combination of quality features, interviews and comments, the Magazine:
- Celebrates changemakers across the children’s sector
- Promotes best practice
- Analyses policy
- Brings together diverse perspectives on how to improve children and young people’s lives.
- The publication, also available to non-members via digital subscription, is an invaluable tool for the children’s sector workforce, supporting critical thinking and continued professional development.

New editor Angus Doyle takes inspiration from the dawn chorus of Spring and early Summer as he focuses minds on voice and message, introduces Children in Scotland’s Manifesto and provides a metaphorical tree branch from which our diverse membership and network can broadcast some urgent communication.
