Tim Hunter

Tim currently works as a Community Programmes Officer for People’s Postcode Lottery. In this role he helps distribute funding across Great Britain to thousands of charities and good causes every year. He joined the Children in Scotland board in 2026.

Tim joined People’s Postcode Lottery after graduating from the University of Aberdeen, studying history. During his studies, Tim worked as a support worker for children with additional support needs.

Since 2021, Tim has been a panel member with Children’s Hearings Scotland.

Having grown up with a parent who was a foster carer, Tim is incredibly passionate about protecting children’s rights and reducing the impact of poverty on young people. When not working or volunteering, he enjoys reading, connecting with friends and family, and exploring the west coast of Scotland.
