Gordon Reid

Gordon works as a Tribunal Delivery Manager for Children’s Hearings Scotland (CHS), with responsibility for recruiting, training and supporting volunteer panel members and contributing strategically to hearing redesign and development.

Gordon has over 15 years’ experience in education and children’s services, including teaching and senior leadership roles within local authorities. He has also worked in senior management roles across the edtech sector, giving him experience of project management, data handling and improvement cycles.

He has a strong background in quality improvement, child protection, GIRFEC and change management, and contributes to national developments within the Children’s Hearings System.

Gordon has volunteered extensively with organisations supporting children, young people and adults with additional support needs and brings experience of working with volunteers, professionals and service users.

Gordon holds professional qualifications in education and management, and has a particular interest in children’s rights, participation and how systems can better support positive outcomes for infants, children, young people and families.

He is registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland, holds a master’s-level certification in data visualisation and a bachelor’s degree (with distinction) in Human Resource Management.

Outside of work, Gordon enjoys running, reading and walking his dog, Lola, a retired greyhound.
