Ellen Morton
Ellen joined Enquire as an Advice and Information Officer in January 2024. From August 2025 they have been seconded into a new role as Outreach Officer where they work with parent / carer groups, other third sector organisations, and education professionals to increase knowledge about children and young people’s rights to support at school.
Ellen has a background in education, having previously worked as a teacher in Gaelic-medium education. In this role they took a particular interest in the specific experiences and needs of disabled children in bilingual education. They are currently studying for a master’s degree in Gaelic Education with the University of the Highlands & Islands where their research is focused on how schools can better support these children.
Ellen has a PGDE in Education with a specialism in Gaelic Education, and a Gaelic and Sociology degree from the University of Glasgow. In their spare time Ellen enjoys reading and singing in the Govan Gaelic Choir.
