Children’s Rights manifesto launched ahead of Holyrood election

New manifesto urges Scottish Parliament to embed children’s rights in every-day decision making

Together has published a new manifesto setting out priorities for Scotland’s next government, with a focus on embedding children’s rights in law and practice.

The document, coordinated Scottish Alliance for Children’s Rights, calls for stronger accountability, investment in services, and full incorporation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Campaigners say the next Scottish Parliament must take “urgent action” to tackle poverty, inequality and gaps in access to support.
