This year’s Children in Scotland Annual Conference hit different.

Across social media was a wave of reflections from practitioners, policy-makers and partners all involved in what was a really wonderful 2 days.

We’ve gathered some of it for you here…

In the first week of her new role as Minister for Children, Young People and The Promise, Siobhian Brown MSP stopped by to address conference and echo the positive energy.

From her speech: “At the beginning of this year, the First Minister restated the Scottish Government’s commitment to getting it right for every child… I would like to echo this commitment to all of you here today.”

she added: “A huge thank you to everyone who joined our presentation, shared reflections, challenged thinking and highlighted examples of what collaborative, family-centred support can look like in practice. We also want to recognise the commitment and expertise of our partners and collaborators across Scotland. Meaningful change happens when organisations work together — sharing knowledge, building trust and focusing collectively on what matters most for babies, children and families. Thank you to the organisers of the conference for creating space for these important conversations. We’re leaving Glasgow energised by the shared commitment to prevention, early intervention and improving outcomes for families.”
