Qualifications Scotland Results Day 2026
Support is in place for pupils receiving exam results.
Tens of thousands of students across Scotland will receive their National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher results on Tuesday 4 August as Qualifications Scotland (formerly the SQA) publishes results.
Pupils signed up to My Qualifications Scotland will get their results by text or email from 8am, while paper certificates will also be posted first class the same day. UCAS Track will update with university decisions from 8am, and Clearing opens at 9am for those without a confirmed place.
Officials have stressed that support is available for anyone unsure of anything and their next steps.

Pupils are also encouraged to speak to teachers or guidance staff at school in the first instance. An appeals service is available free of charge through schools, colleges or directly via Qualifications Scotland’s “learner direct service”, which opens on results day at 9am.
We would also like to remind our audience of a message we shared last year that is just as relevant as it is today: there is no wrong path to success. You can read the experiences and advice from our staff at Children in Scotland which supports this message clearly by clicking here.
