Children in Scotland’s Annual Conference 2027

As digital challenges and inclusion rise to the top of the children’s sector agenda, Children in Scotland’s Head of Development & Engagement, Simon Massey, shares the charity’s plans for the year ahead and how it will bring together sector knowledge and discussion on key issues.

For Safer Internet Day 2026, the spotlight is not only on online safety but on how we talk about digital life – at home, in schools, and across communities. His reflections set the stage for a wider conversation about how we can better understand, navigate, and shape the digital world together.

In our latest blog as part of The Digital Conversation Dr Judith Turbyne, CEO of Children in Scotland, examines some of the key challenges to realising true digital inclusion for children and young people, and how the lens of an online/offline continuum can help shape accessible spaces.
