The September 2026 Member Forum will focus on the commitments made on whole family support in the Scottish Government’s 2026-27 Programme for Government and opportunities for the third sector in progressing a system of holistic whole family support in Scotland.

Background

The Member Forum provides a space for policy staff in member’s organisations to inform Children in Scotland’s national policy influencing and development work, across the range of issues affecting children, families and the children’s sector in Scotland.

Roisín Laing
Roisín is Policy, Projects and Participation Manager at Children in Scotland. She joined the organisation in October 2024 and her role is to support the children’s sector workforce to improve outcomes for children.

David Yule
David Yule is Policy, Projects and Participation Officer at Children in Scotland. Before joining the organisation in January 2024, he worked as a participation officer at the Scottish Youth Parliament. He was also previously a volunteer youth worker with LGBT+ young people.
