About this event

Good governance is essential for the success of any charity, and guidance on this issue is available from various sources – including OSCR, umbrella charities and agencies. Despite this, it can still be very challenging for individual charities to be sure that its own particular circumstances, board management structures and procedures actually do comply.

This seminar – a repeat run of our previous, ‘Good governance demystified’ event – will attempt to improve delegates’ understanding of this important issue, and help aid compliance.

Key learning:

  •  Understanding trustee statutory duties
  •  How trustees can ensure that they and their fellow trustees comply with their duties
  •  Understanding what constitutes misconduct
  •  Understanding the powers available to OSCR and when it might exercise these powers.

Who should attend

The seminar will be of relevance to all staff members of charities, but of particular use to trustees and board members.
