Nurturing Talent Fund: New Routes

(March – October 2021)

We've been awarded funding from Creative Scotland to deliver a new arts fund that will support disabled children and young people and young people with additional support needs to access creative opportunities.

This pilot project is part of the Nuturing Talent Fund: New Routes programme which hopes to reach young people who are currently under-represented in the Nurturing Talent Fund awards

Children in Scotland will work with a young people’s advisory group to design the application process and make decisions about who receives the funding. The fund will be open to children and young people aged 11-25 years and is expected to launch in summer 2021.

We are currently recruiting young people to join our advisory groupTo get involved, please complete our information sheet, complete our consent form and then answer the following questions. Watch the video below to learn more.

  1. Why do you want to get involved?
  2. Why is art and creativity important to you?
  3. Why is it important that all children and young people have the chance take part in arts activities?
  4. What is your favourite art piece and why? This can be a piece of music, a play, a painting, a movie or anything!

You can send us your answers however you wish (written, video, pictures). Whatever you decide, keep them short and snappy!

Please send us your answers and completed consent forms to beheard@childreninscotland.org.uk by Friday 23 April 2021
