About this event
Our participative methodologies session is a chance to explore commonly used participative methods and gain insight into how we gather children and young people’s views. The training is underpinned by our principles and guidelines for meaningful participation and engagement. This creative session will encourage you to express your views in a safe and welcoming space.
- Develop an understanding of different methods, using case studies based around the work of Children in Scotland and partner organisations
- Explore and experience participative exercises
- Critically assess commonly used participative methodologies.
This event will be delivered by Children in Scotland's Participation and Engagement team whose work involves engaging children and young people in meaningful, ongoing dialogue and to enable them to have effective and fulfilling participation in all areas of our work. This will help ensure their voices influence the decisions and practices of policymakers and practitioners.
