This online workshop will explore Getting it right for every child (GIRFEC), Scotland’s national approach to supporting the wellbeing of children and young people.

Key Learning
- Develop their understanding of how GIRFEC and the UNCRC underpin all policies for children and young people in Scotland.
- Understand the role of the National Performance Framework and the Children, Young People and Families Outcomes Framework (CYPOF) in strategic planning and delivery of services, support and improvement activity at national and local level.
- Explore how the planning, delivery and evaluation of services for children, young people and families can be supported by the core components of GIRFEC, including:

As a follow up from the launch of our GIRFEC eLearning module launched in 2024, The Supporting the Third Sector project are developing a series of online workshops focusing on GIRFEC. We are offering 4 workshops in total: 1 online workshops open to third sector colleagues across Scotland, and 3 online workshops open to the third sector in specific local areas; Glasgow, Highlands and Edinburgh.

This session will be delivered by members of the Policy, Projects and Participation Team at Children in Scotland.
