Child Protection for all: an introduction and refresher
About this event
This training offers an overview of child protection, and will equip you with the skills to act appropriately and confidently with the children and young people you work with.
The course will help you recognise, report and record concerns about a child’s welfare in Scotland, as well as understanding the barriers to children, young people and adults reporting concerns.
- Identify the various categories of child abuse and neglect
- Recognise the signs and indicators of possible abuse
- Explore the legislation and guidance providing the framework for child protection
- Know how to report and record concerns.
Who should attend
This course is for anyone who is new to child protection, or who needs a refresher.
